Garden need more attention

We arrived in the evening when there was nobody at the reception and found that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, so I went to their guest bathroom and got a roll from there. But here's why I really rated this place so low. We stayed there for one night, went to sleep early to get up early but around midnight were awakened by hard knocks on the door. I opened the door and there was a guy who didn't speak English but wanted something in our room. I couldn't understand him as I don't speak Spanish, so I closed the door. A while later, another hard knock - same guy plus another one. That new one did speak English, he introduced himself as the owner of the place, and told us they needed access to the patio through our room because there was a couple in another room who somehow locked themselves out, and the patio provided the only access to their room. So we let them go through our room, they went back and forth a few times, then finally managed to unlock that door. The owner apologized and, without me asking, offered a full refund for the trouble. I agreed. The next morning, there was no one at the reception, so we left. Got back home - no refund and no message. So I messaged them asking about the refund and their reply was, "well, that incident wasn't our fault, you did park your car and enjoy our breakfast, so we think a half-price refund would be fair." I said OK, but, again, no refund and no any explanation. I then checked with booking.com, but they said they could do nothing about that.

This was an awful stay. There was something rotting in my room -- most likely something under one of the beds -- and the smell got progressively worse. I asked the host to move me but they had nothing else available. They offered to cancel the booking but it was 11pm already and I had nowhere else to go and I had to drive 5.5 hours the next day. I said I would sleep a few hours and leave. They apologized and promised twice to refund my money. On that basis, I didn't even shower in the unit the next day. I didn't have the breakfast I had paid for. I just packed up a few hours later and left. I have heard nothing further and I have not received the promised refund. I'm really upset about it.

The hotel has two floors and from the moment we went up to the second floor, we smelled a strong dampness and humidity. When we entered the room, the dampness and odor increased to a terrible level. There is no ventilation in the bathroom and toilet. The room was below average. The bathroom sink and toilet flush are making excessive noise, I think they are broken.
