“A mostly decent stay but not without its issues”
The best

The air conditioning worked well and could be easily adjusted. The room and bathroom were both clean and the beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom were also a decent size and had wardrobes and a fridge.

To be improved

We only saw one member of staff during our whole stay, and she was waitressing in the restaurant. There was no reception and for about a day and a night, the whole hostel smelled so strongly of cannabis that the smell seeped through into our room through a closed door. Due to the lack of staff, there was no one to complain to about this. Also, the hostel claims to be both English and Spanish speaking, yet the lady we met in the restaurant spoke no English. She was relatively pleasant but language barriers posed a problem when trying to explain I was vegetarian. I ended up having to spoon the tuna off my salad onto my friend's plate because, even with google translate, I didn't seem to be able to communicate that I do not eat meat or fish.
