“A really great hotel located in a very good please to explore this beautiful old town. A great restaurant and bar in located on the ground floor but is not connected to the hotel. I was allowed to park my motorcycle in a safe place by the hotel. This is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it. · Cons: I liked everything!”

“Excellent location but somewhat dated and overpriced”

The best

The location is excellent, right next to the old bridge by which one enters Molinaseca. This affords great views from the outdoor patio/seating area for the restaurant that is housed on the ground level. My room was very large and had a good bathroom. The restaurant served Menu del dia/dinner early enough to accommodate a pilgrim's sleep schedule, which can be a problem in many restaurants on the Camino de Santiago. The check-in was easy and I noticed that their rooms are at least one level up, which is accessible for people with disabilities (a lift, but not an elevator).

To be improved

I ate just one dinner (menu del dia) in their restaurant and did not like any of it (even the normally wonderful Spanish wine, was undesirable). My dinner partners felt the same about their various meals. My room window looked onto nearby balconies of the buildings on the other side of the street, so I had to keep my shutters closed for privacy, This left the room feeling dark and enclosed. My balcony was not much of a balcony, as one cannot sit or go out onto it (should not list it as balcony, as it is misleading). I think the price was too high considering other places I stayed at that were far nicer, some of which were even in large destination cities along the Camino.

“Great place to stay on the Camino.”

The best

The location is fabulous! It is right on the river. The staff was excellent. There are laundry facilities on site. My friend and I had a wonderful view of the river from our room.

To be improved

We stayed in a private room, and the beds were not very comfortable. Apart from the beds, everything else was excellent.

“A good overnight stay in Molinaseca.”

The best

Second time to stay in El Palacio. Great location as you walk across the bridge into Molinaseca. The receptionist was pleasant and friendly. The room was of a decent size and clean. The beds were comfortable. There is secure bike storage. No complaints.

“Paradise by the side of the river”

The best

Everything! I could happily live here. Awesome on-site restaurant, the best food on the Camino. Beautiful location by the side of the river, wonderful staff. Loved my top floor suite with 270 degree views. Super comfy bed, pillows, and linens. Huge closet. Air conditioning.
