“Hostal located a few metres from metro station Estrecho. Clean, comfortable. I was in an individual room with one single bed, the room was small. There was a sink in the room, shower and toilet were shared. Reception opened 24/7, so late check-in (after midnight) was ok. · Cons: The only disadvantage was that there was no AC in the room, only the ceiling fan, which did not cool the room enough when there was 40 degrees outside.”

The best

My room was small but was exceptionally clean, in fact cleaner than any other hotel room, including some luxury hotels that I have stayed in. The bed was comfy as was the pillow and despite being on the ground floor, noise was minimal at night. The hotel is just around the corner from Estrecho Metro station on line one, which took us into the centre of Madrid very quickly.

To be improved

I honestly cannot think of anything I didn't like, although I will point out that there is no lift for the upper floors, this would not have been a problem for me and with such helpful and friendly staff, I think they would be more than willing to help you with luggage if you need.
