“Great location, great vibe”
The best

The stay was very comfortable. The hotel is in a historical building with a great location close to Centro. Desirable neighbourhoods like Malasana, Latina, and other attractions of Madrid are accessible by foot. The manager is a friendly and competent person.

To be improved

I think it was just a touch pricier than I would have expected.

“I loved my room because it was soo clean, as if I was the first and only person who’s ever lived in that room! Javier was very welcoming and helpful from the very beginning. The location is 4min walk from the Museum of Prado, and 7 min from the El Retiro park! I felt very safe and cosy in Hostal Gonzalo❤️ · Cons: I loved everything.”

“It was amazing! Antonio made us feel like home.”

I liked everything about this great place. Location was perfect. It’s pretty close to all the main venues in the city. Walking distance to all museums and El sol plaza. We also had the best host ever. Antonio was extremely friendly and helpful. He provided us with great information about the city and places to eat. The room was super comfortable and extremely clean. I highly recommend this hostal if you are looking for a wonderful and safe place to stay in Madrid. I am definitely coming back. It is my go to spot in Madrid.
