“Good spot near transport and a grocery store. A fairy safe neighborhood.”
I liked the place. It was located in the neighborhood called Gracia. There were buses about 4 steps from the front door. There is a small grocery store across the street.
I am not sure of the rules for places in Barcelona but I think the addition of a microwave would make life cheaper for vacationers.
“Amazing! Super cute, comfortable, secure and perfect location.”
The room was so comfortable and big, there was space to put suitcases down without tripping over them. The bathroom was also spacious with a decent-sized shower where you could actually move around without bumping your elbows. The bed was a little wobbly, but the mattress itself was super comfy—and I say that as someone who usually struggles with sleep. One of my favourite features was the little balcony—we often enjoyed breakfast and dinner out there. The balcony doors were very well insulated, so even though the street outside was noisy, once the doors were shut, the sound was nicely muffled. And we didn't hear our neighbours through the walls either. The AC worked well and kept the heat under control, which was much appreciated. There were also thoughtful little touches like an iron and mini ironing board to smooth out clothes after travel. We were even greeted with complimentary snacks—mini croissants, muffins, biscuits, water, and juice—which was such a nice surprise. I especially appreciated the security, since the property is run remotely. There was a passcode for the main lobby door and another one for the room itself, plus security cameras in the lobby. On our last night, someone who was locked out of the building at midnight wasn’t able to get in past the lobby door, which showed the system worked well. We felt bad for them, but for our own safety, we didn’t open the door—and as a solo traveler (and later with my female friend), I felt very safe the entire time. The owner, Raquel, was also lovely and very responsive, even though we never met in person. The check-in process was smooth—I received a detailed message a day before my stay with clear instructions, photos, and even videos showing exactly how to enter. I had no issues at all! The location was another plus—it was in a safe area and on average about 30 minutes from most key spots in the city.
The only real downside was the mini fridge—it didn’t seem to cool properly and stayed around room temperature. I had bought some food to help stick to my budget, and while the fridge helped keep things somewhat fresh (especially when the room got warm while I was out), unfortunately, the food didn’t last long. The coffee machine was just okay—not the best, but it did the job. And honestly, it was still better than paying the equivalent of $8 for a coffee in Barcelona! Also, be warned—there’s no lift! The rooms are on the second floor, and the stairs are fairly narrow at some points. I’m relatively fit, so it wasn’t too bad for me, but it was definitely a bit of a slog. It could be a real challenge for anyone with mobility issues or heavy luggage.

“Great location, great hosting and great value for money.”
Amazing location, the room was also in very good shape and renovated. The owner was extremely helpful and nice. Very good value for money, definitely i will use it again on my next trip to Barcelona.
The only thing i didn't like was the stairs as it is too steep and dangerous as i was carrying a big luggage with me.
“Not a good value for the money it costs”
The location is good, as Gracia is one stylish area with the bohemian athmosphere. Unfortunately, it's pretty noisy, as the windows overlook the busy street.
Little space, the stairs that are only suitable for visitors with the hand luggage -not the normal bag. The appartment looks "tired". It would be alright, if the price were lower.
