“Fantastic owner who is doing his best in everything that guests request. If everybody on Camino de Santiago were like him, the whole world would be better. Highly recommend!”

“Avoid”
The room was old fashioned with blankets and bedspreads but very clean and well cared for. The bathroom was spacious, no plug for the bath and the hot water ran out quickly. The host has many rules about where to put your walking sticks, walking shoes and no backpacks on the bed, these were good to keep order. All communication was done through google translate.
The room was incredibly cold. I asked the host for heating in the room, she seemed upset by this request pointing to a thermometer that said 25 degrees, it was 11 degrees outside, it certainly was not 25 degrees inside. I eventually worked out through using google translate that the heating would not come on unless the temperature of the thermometer dropped. Despite the outside temperature dropping to 7 degrees, no heating came on. I slept in a jumper, beanie and gloves as well as my sleeping wear. Neither my husband or I slept well due to being very cold all night. The host recommended Don Camino to us to have lunch. We went to go there but could not locate it easily. We were very tired after a long walk, we could see an open bar very close to us so went there instead for our lunch. When we returned the host became quite aggressive with us, speaking in Spanish at us, I asked her to repeat once I had my Google translate ready. She was asking me where I had been, she said that she rang Don Camino who told her that we had not been there. She seemed upset that we had not been there. It was too hard to explain. We did end up finding Don Camino and went there for dinner and enjoyed a pizza. The next morning we left the room tidy as we always do. That night we received a message from the host via bookings.com accusing us of leaving litter on the floor and flooding the room and wanting us to pay 180 euros for damages. These accusations were untrue, we always treat accommodation well, we have stayed in various accommodations around the world and have never received a complaint. We took our small amount of litter with us and put it in the village bin and considering the shower is over a bathtub, we have no idea how you could possibly flood the floor. It was upsetting to be accused falsely. All we can think is that the host was angry with us as we didn't go to Don Camino for lunch and we asked for heating.

“A family owned albergue on the Camino”
There was two choices for breakfast. 3,50 eur included tea or coffee and charcutleries. With 5,50 eur you could add fruit or egg to your breakfast. We had a nice two person room downstairs. The personnel was extreamly friendly, and made us pilgrims feel very welcomed and served us in a very personal and nice way. Really good memories. There is a restaurant nearby that the hotel recommended for us with a really good pilgrim dinner.
Everything was fine.
“Camino stop.”
It was very convenient for the Camino, and the proprietors were very friendly. The gift of a yellow arrow for our rucksacks was appreciated.
The weather was unusually cold for May, and the room was cold when we arrived. The thermostat did not have any effect till the evening. In the room were cards with very negative messages about guest behaviour. They seemed to us superfluous and very off-putting. I think they gave a falsely negative view of a good little hotel.
