“Nothing special”
Bery small room in a big apartment and low facilities but great location in grand cia that you access to everything. If you want to just sleep in your room, it’s a good choice but if you want to have good facilities, search for other options. I think great location is not enough fot choosing.
“Great location”
Hotel is located right on Gran via street, in front of Callao metro station. restaurants, supermarket, shopping malls and main tourist attractions are in walking distance. Rooms are compact but very clean. Negative points: this hotel is located on the 7st floor. The entrance on the ground is dirty. Only one small, very old and smelly elevator for the building (max 4 pax) so it takes time to go up and down. Sometimes the elevator didn't work :(. Towels are old and torn. They don't change them daily. They provide me a disposable plastic cup but after I used it they did not renew. In overall it is expensive than the real quality. Maybe due to its great location.
“Ok for one night”
Stayed here recently, located on main street Gran Via, everything is nearby. Hostal is on 7th floor, check in was easy and fast. My keycard did not work but problem was solved quickly by staff. Room was very basic, not the cleanest, smell from bathroom was disturbing. Place has very thin walls, could hear conversations from other rooms. Overall, ok for one night stay but no longer than that.
“Nice find”
In the centre of Madrid, rooms are spotlessly clean and modern although a little basic but I was expecting much less after reading some of the reviews, the staff don't speak much English but are always friendly and do try to speak English, a beautiful little place to stay and definitely worth the money which isn't much compared to most other properties in Madrid
“It's OK but...”
The property is located directly on Gran Via which is a great location and in walking distance to everything. It's located on the 7th floor of a building containing multiple hostels. There is an elevator, although slow and only holds 4 people, I never had to wait too long. I was given a room just adjacent to the front desk. Unfortunately, I later discovered this was the worst possible room. The room size was small but adequate for sleeping and dressing. The room was clean and appeared to be reasonably maintained given the apparent age of the building. There was a nice balcony with a view of the small square across the road. This was all good until it was time to sleep. I could hear everything outside my room as if it was happening right next to me. I could hear conversations happening at the desk and people coming and going from the front door. At night, the lower entrance door is locked so guest would ring the bell to get in. If someone called, I could hear the phone ring loudly. Both sounded as if they were ringing my unit directly. This goes on well into the night and only seemed to begin to quiet a little after 3 am but it was never completely quiet and it speeds up again early in the morning. Each time I felt myself falling asleep, I would be abruptly awakened again. I can't say how different it would have been had I received a room further away from the front desk. I did hear my neighbor go into the hall to complain about the constant doorbell and phone ringing once around 1:00am. I was only there for 2 night but could not have managed much longer. I would not stay here again but maybe having a different room might have yielded a better impression so I will still give it 3 out of 5. Sidebar: I ended up with this property through Priceline using the name your own price tool, and requested a 3 star hotel. When I complained to Priceline about this choice they did what they always do, Nothing.
“Awesome Location. Totally worth for money”
First of all the location was splendid. it’s the centre of centre. Room was ok since my aim was just to spend the night. Breakfast is really nice by considering the price of room. Highly recommended for solo travellers. It met my expectations. However it was bit difficult to communicate with the staff in English. but that did not really matter.
