“Great place to stay”

Great location not far from the harbour and close to main shopping area. A wee walk to train station, but easy enough. Room was well appointed. Check in is via the bar downstairs, but once checked in there is a separate door to access rooms. It was special Saints anniversary night when I was there and the small square my room looked over in front of hotel was packed until at least 11pm that night. I thought that might disrupt my sleep, but room was very soundproof and I had a great comfortable sleep. I left reasonably early in morning and the square had been cleaned already. This is really a small hotel, and is next to a church that is associated with the Camino walk, which I commenced in Vigo, so would be handy for that. a few days later I met someone on the Camino, they had stayed there too and was of same opinion about how good this place was. It was hot night and there was a fan in room.

“Disappointing stay”

We liked that it was right on the Camino and there were plenty of places to eat. Great taphouse with craft beers a few doors down.

It was supposed to be open at 3 and nobody showed until 4 even after repeated messages to the appropriate number. Once they showed up it was very chaotic as they were chatting with locals while trying to get us checked in. The room was tiny and the noise from the bar downstairs, as well as the square, went on until well after midnight making sleep hard to come by.
