“A very decent hostal”
The best

A nicely located, decent hostal with its own café/restaurant with clean toilet facilities. Free parking nearby and a supermarket less than 2 minutes walk away. Good base for touring in the Quijote surrounds. Good-sized rooms with ensuite bathroom. Excellent water pressure for a shower and good quality towels.

To be improved

While there was wifi in the lobby and the bar/restaurant, it didn’t reach the rooms. And even in the latter it was intermittent. The owner provided a second option but, sadly, this was the same. This won’t be a problem if you have a phone with wifi but if, like me, you need to use a laptop for writing purposes, this could be a problem for you. Note: Be careful. Google Maps throws up 2 hostals called La Parada. The one you don’t want to to go to is said to be in Avenida Pedro Muñoz in Moto del Cuervo. But Google will tell you it’s in the middle of a cultivated field next to the highway. The La Parada you want is in Pedro Muñoz in Avenida de la Constitución.
