“Lovely stay, great location and staff”

Fantastic location with easy access to the metro and the Gothic quarter as well as La Ramblas and La Boqueria. Great staff, Ivan in particular was great and provided a warm welcome with plenty of information about the city and places to visit. Room was small but comfortable. Cleaning service options available were great - could choose how much cleaning was desired each day. Small but nice selection at breakfast.

To be improved

Bathroom was too small and shower too close to toilet. When showering, water spilled into the bathroom even with towel on floor, likely because shower doors not completely sealed at bottom. USB power plug above bed didn’t work and the AC was too cold even when we tried to reduce it. even though the cleaning choice selected included sweeping the floor, it is unclear if this was done as the floor was still dirty. Replacement towel was not provided when taken away by housekeeping and needed to be requested at reception.

We enjoy Hostal Marenostrum, close to areas we enjoy frequently as we pop into Barcelona four times a year- all seasons.

To be improved

It is difficult when we have a large suitcase with us, as we fly in and out of BCN and train to our second home in Southern France. We stay 90 days and bring things in and out. Stairs are getting more difficult for both husband and myself.
