Great place to stay

The staff were excellent and very helpful, we knew that the location was extremely rural the hotel was very good value for money, clean and comfortable.

Reception is via the front door from the square; not any of the doors on the (back) road. It was a bit haphazard as they were setting up for a 12th birthday. Pleasant reception and I was handed my key and shown to my room. Downstairs is a small busy bar and a large restaurant. The bar is used by the villagers. Bedroom is big with a window at floor level with a grill. Curtains and blackout curtains. Big double bed that appears to be two singles push together, but, with a big double mattress. Memory foam. It was comfortable. Clean white linen and good pillows. Wardrobe, chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets with lights over. Tele. Get straight into bed clean. Shower room is big with a shower cabinet, bidet, toilet and sink. Satchets of shower gel. White towels on the bed in the shape of Swans. Clean and shiny. Quiet. Outside the front is the church square and children’s playground. The children use the square to play football, tennis, kiss-chase etc. can be noisy until bedtime. A covered terrace for adults. District is friendly and quiet. The church opposite looks lovely in the evening sun. Some nice buildings. The hosts are friendly and happy to help. Local bottled beers by EIPA was a bonus. The food in the restaurant was basic, but, good. It’s a busy, but, friendly place.

Great little hotel with a nice restaurant. We visited because of the mountainbiking even I was participating in and it couldn't have been better. We arrived late around 9PM and I was very worried that all restaurants in the area would be closed but the one by the hotel was open and we have a meal there.

Friendly staff didn't speak English but were willing to help. The bar at the place was a plus! Local prices for the drinks, unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to eat there. I am sure the food must be lovely! The room is a bit small but it was ok for us. Overall very authentic experience.
