“Better than camping in winter.”

It was relatively inexpensive.

The host was initially abrupt and not particularly helpful when first approached. The room was very small. The windows were sealed so there was no natural ventilation. It was very close to a busy road so there was a lot of traffic noise. The large building was practically empty of guests and totally lacking in charm. There were no restaurants or grocery shops within easy walking distance.

We ended up booking the Moby Dick further from town. The owner was very accommodating and brought us the to the one that was in town.

Le hombre era mal educado. The man on reception was not polite, in fact was rude and very unpleasant. the hotel did open at the time stated and I had difficulty exiting the hotel the next morning. In total the service was very bad.

“Very cheap accomodation out of Ourense on the road to Lugo”

The best

Hostal Mobydick2 is a very basic accomodation in the outskirts of Ourense, on the main road to Lugo. Don't expect any luxury here. The receptionist (owner?) was very kind and helpful with us during the check-in and also later, with precious information. Our room was fine, very basic, but ok. The beds were a bit on the hard side, but we slept well. Our room was in the back, therefore very silent. Free parking right in front of the hostal. For a 1 night stay, if you have a car, it's fine.

To be improved

Location is right on a main road going upwards, with heavy traffic. The hostal looks quite old and not so well mantained. The restaurant is closed (abandoned?). One towel in the bathroom was dirty. It's quite far from the centre of Ourense (of course we knew it), therefore don't go there if you don't have a car.
