It was clean and facilities were of a good standard. The dining area was very nice and food was plentiful and menu varied.

To be improved

I felt a little let down by the location of this property. It was shown as being in O Pino, but it’s five miles from the town, and off the traditional Camino Path. I wasn’t the only Pilgrim who suffered the same fate. Ok if you’re cycling, but not when walking.

The staff were incredibly rude. Location address is misleading. Booked it thinking it was on the camino route. Another pilgrim made the same mistake. It should be stated as part of the description when booking that it is about 45 minutes walking to the camino route. I had to walk early in the morning before sunrise to get back to the route before entering santiago - along a busy main road which mostly trucks travel at high speed along. The hostel are clearly aware of the misunderstanding as many pilgrims are making this mistake and they have a restaurant full of photos of large trucks displayed around the walls. I felt it's irresponsible to continue to allow people make this mistake when it will result in them walking along a long stretch of dangerous road. Another issue I had was getting charged €6 for 2 slices of toast! I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. I found the staff to be cold, unwelcoming and rude.
