My wife and I stayed here for a weekend in Pampaneira. We loved the hostal -- really nice people, good food, comfortable rooms, great location (just a few steps from the bus stop), right in the heart of the village.

Very friendly people, very clean, beautifully designed floors and rooms. All fittings fully functional. Excellent coffee.

To be improved

We had a room in the upper floor from Sunday to Monday facing away from the road. All night there was a disturbance by a noisy pump or compressor, large for sure, the room literally vibrated. Actually the whole floor. (That noise hadn't been there in daytime.) Changing rooms to 1st floor was absolutely no problem, and the manager named Luz was seemingly unaware of the disturbance. Second night this did not occur (I checked upper floor too) but the first night was highly unpleasant. Maybe a one time event, but I wouldn't count on it.
