The entrance area was exceptionally clean and as we arrived early the housekeeper greeted us and stored our luggage in a locked cupboard until we could check into our room. The room was beautiful, very bright and airy, everything looked brand new. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was perfect. We appreciated the toiletries and the shower was amazing. Location is ideal, walking distance to the beach and the church square with bars and restaurants. Some incredible shops too.

To be improved

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

“We loved 'upper' Altea, whitewashed buildings, restaurants, shops and the beautiful church. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully decorated, lots of attention to detail, the lighting in the bathroom, the flooring - the inlaid tiles for example. Our housekeeper was so friendly and the owner was responsive, ensuring the extras we asked for were delivered quickly (kettle, softer pillow) The floral diffuser scent used in the entrance gave us a welcome every time we returned home. · Cons: So many steps to get up to 'upper' Altea, my goodness what a work out in the scorching heat. Id imagine it would be hard for people with reduced mobility for any reason. The stony beach wasn't my favourite - bring your beach shoes. Nothing negative about the accommodation, we loved our stay there”

“We loved the view of the sea & bay, the room was spacious and very comfortable. I also want to complement the lovely maid, she was so friendly and helpful and representative of the area. Location was right next to the old town center with all the sights & restaurants. Great place.”

“Nice stay for a short break”

The best

Prior to arrival all of my questions were answered promptly and details of how to access the accommodation were sent on the day of our arrival. The location was a short walk from the old town centre which was great for evenings out. The room we had was nicely decorated and big enough for a few days stay. The bathroom was lovely with a huge walk-in shower.

To be improved

We did find the room quite noisy at times. Our room faced onto the street the opposite side of the main entrance and because that was the street that had shops and restaurants on it we could hear people walking home in the evening and talking. We also heard the alarm from one of the other guest rooms going off a couple of mornings. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper and you'll be fine.
