The location

Good location, adequately priced

Clean, Quiet, convenient location.

The place is in a terrific location and it appears to have been recently constructed/renovated in an older building. The shower deserves a mention, because it was one of the first in a place at this price level that had a good drain so watered and spill all over the floor. Little things help. The elevator on the other hand is quite old with a balky door that should be fixed. Most impressive was when I asked the guy on duty who was standing at the street entrance where I could get a bottle of water. He told me to wait and he ran off down the street toward the Carrefour convenience store. I mean really ran full tilt! How often does anybody else experience that reaction? The guy would not even take money from me when I offered to pay for it, as a well should, and even declined my offer to buy him a beer – no no he said he was working. From my various travels, acts of exceptional service – both on the good and the bad side – tend to be remembered. I’ll remember this guy and come back to this hotel again. But please don’t pay much attention to what I say and other travelers should go to other places so this one doesn’t get too popular and the prices shoot up. Then I will kick myself for having written this note praising them.

Comfortable bed. Great air-conditioning. Also the perfect location right in the heart of Madrid for anything you need. Staff were lovely and helpful. Everything was clean :). Rooms were a little small but good enough for a solo Traveller! And esspecially for the price.
