“Awful stay. Aggressive night wtachman.”

The night watchman was incredibly impolite and aggressive and in my opinion bordering on being a misogynest. My daughters stayed in the hotel and were verbally abused for asking for assistance in getting the air conditioner and lights to work. The hotel explained that specific conditions need to be in place for the air conditioner to work, including windows tightly shut - but in truth the lights and air conditioner worked intermittently and at times didn't work at all even after all attempts to follow instructions. Nevertheless, this did not warrant the aggresive screaming and shouting in the lobby and frantic gesticulation of hands 10cm away from their faces when they asked for assistance. My daughters were very afraid. His behaviour was very threateneing. They had the most uncomfortable 2 days stay in the hotel imaginable and we had no choice but to terminate the booking early and move to another hotel. A package arrived (official governmert ID card) at this hotel 1 or 2 days after departure. My daughters went to pick up this package in the evening and unfortunately encountered the same ill-tempered bully in the lobby. This person confirmed he had the package but refused to give them the package saying it was not in his job description to do so, whilst taunting them. Incredible, very nasty behaviour - they had to return the following morning to pick up the package when a different staff member was on duty. I was shocked when I saw video footage of these encounters. When I complained,the hotel made an excuse that my daughters must have been at fault. This hotel seems to have forgotten that a guest needs to be treated politely and with respect and that bullying of 2 young girls by an aggressive male adult is unaccaptable. Instead I was charged a penalty night's stay for having cancelled early. Quite disgusting actually.

“Excellent!!!”

The best

I can only say great things about Hostal Residencia Nicolau. The staff was extremely kind and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They also lent us a beach umbrella for free for the entire length of our stay, and on the last day they let us take a shower after check out, as we went to the beach since we had a late flight in the evening. They have a shower on the ground floor and they can provide you with clean towels and let you use it for free. The room was spacious and clean, as well as the bathroom, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend it!

“Excellent customer service and hotel!”

The best

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. By far the best customer service I have ever experienced. I would come back here based on that alone. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning is a god send in the July heat.

To be improved

There was not one aspect of this hotel I didn't like, great location, great staff and great price.

“Ibiza's "When Comfort Meets Value" Perfect Budget Friendly Stay”

The best

The staff was amazing, really friendly and organized. Service was available all the time. Rooms were regularly cleaned and they took care of everything. There was an Illy coffee machine in the lobby, which was convenient for grabbing a coffee at any time for a good price. Right next to the building was also a street parking for cars and scooters. The city center was 10 minutes walking distance. Just behind the corner was a small market and for about 5 minutes walking a big Mercadona market.

To be improved

Although everything was amazing we were kind of missing a kettle in the room. But that's just a little extra.
