Hostal Restaurante Grela

It is a no frills accomodation option if you want to tackle Sierra de Cazorla. It is in the centre of the village. It is clean, perfect shower and bathroom. It has an old and somewhat noisy A/C but it does the job! The windows insulation seemed amazing.. Before going up to my room i had something to eat and drink on the restaurant's terrace laying directly under my window at the 2nd floor. As all the tables were occupied with joyful, chatty locals enjoying themselves it created some noise. None of it was audible in my room! Btw, try the restaurant! There is a reason for all the tables being taken from 9pm onwards! Breakfast was tostada with toppings to your liking, cafe and a caña of fresh, delicious orange juice. I was wondering what I was going to get for the measly price of 3€ as advertised on Booking.com. I do not think you can get much for 3€. What I got was 7€. It is not a set breakfast menu for guests. It is the same they serve to everyone entering their establishment in the morning. Pick and choose what you want and you'll pay accdg to the menu. Another good thing was secured, covered parking for my moto. It costed me 5€ but was absolutely worthwhile. Free street parking however, is easy to get. The owner is quite a character, helpful and efficient. All in all, suprisingly good for the money, fantastic value, the great restaurant being just an added bonus. Go for it!
