Hostal Restaurante La Cepa

They didn't have my booking in the system. It took a long time for them to assign the room to me and I was getting worried that I may need to look for a different place. They don't have their own parking and I was lucky that there was a free spot on the street just in front of the place when I arrived.

Although there was a fridge in the room there was no kettle - we booked for 4 days so a kettle would have been good. The lighting was severe in the bedroom with no way of adjusting it. It was extremely noisy - seagulls shrieking all night and trucks and fast traffic and people shouting. This didn`t bother me but if you struggle to sleep take ear plugs. The beach is a very short walk from the hostel but it is an industrial area and there are signs saying the water is not safe to swim in. The restaurant is tired. At 75 euro per night no kettle and not including breakfast and basic accommodation it is expensive.

Pretty simple room, fine and clean, very plain and bare bones

I didn't like anything. When I asked Booking.com for accomodations in Neda, Galicia, Spain for the night, Booking.com offered this hotel as the top choice. As a pilgrim I had walked all day and needed a place for the night. I was so tired! Happy that this hotel had a high rating, I forgot to double check the location of the hotel. I just pressed the button and payed. I immediately mapped the hotel and called them to let them know I had made a mistake-it was over 100km away from Neda! I was sent back to Booking.com, which in turn responded that this transaction was NOT refundable! This was around 4:00 PM in the afternoon-clearly another guest could have used the room I paid for and never used. So, NO. I did not like the harsh lack of empathy of the hotel clerk and I absolutely decided NEVER to use Booking.com again! ,
