“Simple hostal typical of rural Spain”

Easily accessible on the edge of town, street parking for our motorcycle was OK, just a short walk into the historic centre, choice of places to eat/drink close by. The room itself was clean, bed linen and towels fresh, water was hot and plentiful - a typical rural Spanish hostal with all that that entails. Decent value for money, hard working lady running the place was very kind and attentive.

To be improved

Breakfast, although included in the price, was basic in the extreme - cold toast, pre-packaged cakes, coffee, orange juice, that was all - enough to get us on the road but nothing more. The restaurant wasn’t open, even on a weekend evening, which was a pity, so we ate nearby. The room initially smelled of smoke but that dissipated after having the window open for a while - it may have come from the bar below or possibly from people smoking on the street outside - there was no signage to indicate any areas of the establishment were no-smoking that we noticed.
