The hostal staff is very kind, and the room was simple but comfortable for a night stay.

There was tons of construction — the elevator was sketchy, making awful noises, and there was building material strewn all over. When the remodel is done, I’m sure it will be spectacular. For now, it feels like we paid a lot for little value. Especially because there was no breakfast option (like many other hostels) because we were checking out on a Monday.

“Good clean hostal at good price in downtown Logrono.”

Access to the hostal with luggage in tow was easy with an elevator. Convenient checkin online ahead of arrival and then follow-up at the downstairs cafe to finalize/pick up the keys. Staff will also store a suitcase in cafe/leave it for transport service. The building is secure with key pad entry in addition to the room door lock. The room and private bath were clean, and the shower water was hot, and the bed very comfortable. A hot water kettle and tea bags were greatly appreciated, as well as the working room heaters (it was still cool in April). The value for the room was appropriate, and the location was near the continuation of the camino path, though a 10-min walk from the plaza/city center. A large department store is located on the opposite side of the street. I slept very well at Hostal Roda.

To be improved

I had reserved a Superior Family Room (sleeps 4) through Bookings but I was provided a simple standard room. Not sure if that was fault of hostal or Bookings. For me, it didn't matter, as I was traveling alone.
