“Pretty nice hotel.”

The best

The food was extremly good and the service was incredible ! A very kind staff that care about the clients. 😁 Just something... The rooms are pretty small so prepare yourself for that... And the shower/bathtub is pretty weird and kinda special... But, nice in general.

“Value for money hotel”

We spent one night in the Hotel Hostal Savoy and when we arrived the prepaid booked room wasn't made up correctly as requested but after 10 mins with Sara in reception we were given an additional room at no extra charge ! I can honestly say Sara went above and beyond in sorting our room issue out and was extremely helpful and polite and is an asset to the hotel. The rooms were clean and value for money (rooms 209 and 304). Room 209 overlooks the police car park but despite other reviews we weren't bothered by any of their noise, however some French guests need to realise they are not the only persons in the hotel at 02:30 am !!! That;'s where the hotel lets itself down as their is no one available to speak to post 11pm until the next morning, so noisy guests, room problems etc have to be left until the next morning, hence me not giving you a 5/5 (excellent) rating. Room 304 aircon was very noisy and the room window didn't lock or close properly. The breakfast is good and served in a well presented dining room and was included in the price. We had to pay 10 Euros a night for an indoor car parking which is quite difficult to get in / out of and I thought it quite expensive for the night. Thank you Sara for ensuring we had a pleasant stay at the hotel.

“Decent, budget hotel”

The best

The Hostal Savoy is a friendly, basic, and cheap place to stay. The air con was a bit noisy and the view from our room (301) looked out onto a vacant lot that we discovered on the second day was being tidied up with a very noisy strimmer! Very close to the lovely town of Alcoi and the delightful town square. Breakfast is your typical continental but with a good range of food. Although we didn't try it I believe the restaurant is very good. Really pleasant staff, all in all a nice place to stay.

Very clean and beautiful restaurant. The service was very excellent and polite. Also good location and food. I really liked the atmosphere there, very nice and cozy. Very quiet place, I loved it. And the prices were very suitable.

“Very nice rooms, not very car-friendly”

The best

We stayed here for 1 night on our trip to the south of Spain. The hotel is located in a very small, tight street that's very difficult to access by car. It is possible to park next to the entrance on a steep hill, but you can't stay there for long because it is also the parking spot of a police department behind the hotel. They will come and tell you to leave so be quick! The parking garage is quite far away and in the middle of a regular street. The gate makes a ton of noise so I can imagine you'll wake up a couple of people.. At least I felt uncomfortable opening it at night. It's within walking distance of the city center so you will most likely find a place to eat. I guess we were a bit late because nothing was open when we got there. We ended up crossing the bridge over the river and found a hotel on the other side that had a restaurant. Breakfast was GREAT! They have all kinds of delicious warm buns and enough to choose from. Coffee is served fresh when you ask for it as well!! I would recommend this place for a quick stay, not for several nights.

“Excellent, beyond expectations!!”

The best

During a recent stay in Alcoy at Hostal Savoy I was very pleasantly surprised by the high standards both in accommodation and in the restaurant. Modern rooms cleaned to perfection, outstanding views across the valley, walking distance to everything since its in the heart of the old town and with private parking, a real advantage, not to mention all the usual technologies, of WIFI etc. Always wanting to participate in the local cuisine the Spanish kitchen delivered a great balance between price and quality, they even prepared a special pasta salad on request, ....boosting the carbs for the cycle rides!! Pleasant staff, waiters all with good attention to detail and all with a warm family feeling approach, very well balanced service. Negative, website not in English.
