“Excellent location, nice staff, comfortable room, but construction, noise, and keys were not ideal.”

The best

Breakfast was good. It was nice to have the option to sit on the terraza for breakfast. The view from our room was particularly good, I think the best of all the rooms, and we enjoyed our room's terrace. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location was just one block from the beachfront, lovely. Sa Riera is a favorite place.

To be improved

There were loud noises from the kitchen that echoed into our room in the morning. All the apartments and the kitchen face a wall in back, and the sound bounces and reverberates into all the rooms. There was a family with small children in the apartments at the same time, and the parents and children were all screaming with their windows open, waking us up. I had to ask them to close the windows. One of the doors to the bedroom had been broken by a child with the guests before us, so in the late morning when my son wanted to rest, there were construction workers inside our apartment for two hours, adding to the noise. They swept, but did not clean the dust well afterwards. They left the floors dirty. I feel that we should have received a discount for this, since our rooms were over 400 euros a night and we had quite a bit of disruption. Lastly, an odd thing happened...I mistook the apartment on Floor 1 for our apartment on floor 2 on the first day, and used my key. When the door opened and I saw the shoes by the door, I realized that it was not my apartment. But why did my key open the door? We did an experiment and tried our key on another apartment, and the light turned green there as well. Do all apartment keys open all apartment doors? It made me nervous about someone else being able to enter our apartment. This is not secure.

Front desk and check in were so nice and friendly. The location is perfect and so convenient! Furnishings and decor were simple, tasteful and cool.

To be improved

The bathroom door was swelled from moisture and did not close all the way. It was a heatwave, so understandable if that was due to the temp. The bedding could be a little more plush, but it might be how it's done in spain to have firm mattresses and a light blanket. We needed more than 1 towel each for a 3-night stay. Please add more hooks in bathroom areas and fans for the bedrooms.

Very good choice of breakfast items, especially fresh fruit and squeezed orange juice. Staff very friendly and helpful.

To be improved

We wish we had had more information about location of parking for the hotel beforehand. When we arrived, the road signage was not clear on whether we could use the no through road access to hotel reception. The climb to the parking lot in the heat was not easy. Not the hotel's fault, but we thought the beach could have been cleaner.

“Beautiful …”

The best

Wonderful staff.. truly excepting the younger ones who could do with a tad more training in customer service! Brilliant restaurant. My goodness the waiters worked hard - what a location and delicious food (thank you kitchen!) Rooms basic, but super clean and lovely views from sea facing ones.

To be improved

Once the experienced staff on reception had gone, the younger ones were less able to help or be accommodating. Very small complaint though!
