“A handy clean inexpensive option in a marvellous city”

No frills super clean budget hostal in a good location, shops, metro, Bernabeu stadium all close by . Excellent staff, not Anglophones .

To be improved

A little quieter would be nice, but it is urban Madrid. Brits like a kettle etc. but that would reflect on the cost - there is a variety of cheap breakfast options locally .

“Strong smell of damp, old furniture, far away to city centre”
The best

It is very close to Chamartín train station and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. If you come to Madrid to watch a match in this stadium you can stay here 1 night. The bathroom was clean.

To be improved

They gave us 3 different keys for 3 doors to reach our room. There was a strong smell of damp in the room and I think this smell had permeated the beds, carpet and curtains. The furniture was old and the beds were not so comfortable. The working lady can’t understand and speak English. We had a communication problem. Although we demaded and they said that they would send it to us by an email we haven’t received the invoice yet.

Perfect place to just drop bags and head out to the Bernabéu for the football.
