“Terrible. And terrible customer service.”

The best

Nothing. There was the national power cut and se we could not access the property. They only send you codes on the day. We couldn’t contact them and they couldn’t contact us. When they knew we couldn’t enter they still relied on sending messages we couldn’t access. No one attended the property. So we couldn’t stay there. We were on the street.

To be improved

No refund was given - not even 50% back even though it was no one’s fault. Everything else from our trip was refunded in full. Shame on these owners. We could not stay through no fault of our own - a national power cut but they won’t do the fair thing and give 50% back (we would still have paid an amount that sometimes is the cost so they really would have lost nothing. But no these people put money first

“Very comfortable in the apartment once I knew how everything worked!”

The host was very quick to respond to my queries and was very friendly and efficient when I managed to get through to her.

To be improved

Booking.com should have advised me I'd be receiving a "WhatsApp' message from the host with instructions on how to access the apartment. When I arrived at the apartment, I was unaware a 'WhatsApp' message had been sent to me, and I had no idea how to access any keys or the doors. I tried calling the host but could only reach Voicemail. I then rang a neighbour's bell and a woman appeared who was very obliging but couldn't speak English. We struggled for a long time before I rang the host again, and this time succeeded talking to her!
