“Great 2 nights in Calpe Old Town”

The best

Super central location in the Old Town, huge comfortable room, nicely furnished, with coffee machine & pods, very clean 🧼 smelled of lemons 🍋 🫶🏽 and room was serviced, bin emptied, bed made etc Reception staff very pleasant (not 24h) Free WiFi Stayed in worse four star hotels!!! More than excellent for a “Hostel”

To be improved

Very small shower cubicle and position of controls meant it was easy to knock and scald or freeze yourself at any moment. Only bin was in the bathroom one in the bedroom would have been a nice addition as would a mini fridge to keep water/drinks cold in 35° Air conditioning cooled the room slightly but not very much. Be aware if visiting the beach (10 min walk) its a big hill back up to the old town not easy if you’re not particularly mobile

“Couldn’t stay there incredibly small bed for a Superior double room.”

The best

It was a full bed instead of a queen, king or two single beds room. There was no way for the two of us to fit in such a small bed. It just fits one person but it is advertised as a Superior double room. We had to book another hotel and neither Booking nor the hotel gave us any money back. I am really disappointed about the whole situation and also the hussle of finding another hotel one day in advance.

“Clean hotel for budget travelers”

The best

The hotel is located in the old center of the town where are a lot of restaurants. Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. It’s not a super comfortable place where you want to spend a lot of time but it’s perfect for budget traveling if you need a place to sleep.

To be improved

We lived on the last floor and almost all the time we didn’t have enough water pressure in the shower so it was impossible to take a shower. Also the water can just stop or quickly change its temperature while you still in the shower. Bathroom is also very tiny, but it’s okay for a few nights.
