“Hotel 139 is a short walk to the beach. The room was air-conditioned. The water pressure in the shower was good. The beach is huge! It's beautiful, clean and with all sorts of facilities. Castelldefels is a lovely location with very good public transport links to Barcelona, ideal for travellers who wish to combine beach holidays with city break and sightseeing. · Cons: The photos on Booking.com are misleading. This is the worst hotel we've ever been. They emailed me last minute to advise that we must check in in Hotel 153, which is NOT a minute walk as they described but longer. Especially when you're walking loaded with luggage in the heat. The service was just non-existent. We saw absolutely Nobody working the Hotel apart from a cleaning lady twice. No reception, no breakfast option. We couldn't even get a glass of water or a coffee unless we walked to the area with the shops. The room was a ground-floor box with a window overlooking the carpark through a metal barrier. It's so small that 1 person had to go into the toilet for the 2nd one to move around. There were only 3 towels for 2 guests. Not a mini bar to keep some cold water since the closest shop is a 20-minute walk. The €437 we paid for 5 nights were an absolute extortion for such a horrible accommodation.”
