The walls looked dirty, the room was very small and the bed uncomfortable. The room stinked when we first got in.

Nice receptionist that speaks English. And no, there is no 24 hour reception. She’s there from 8.00 till 16.00h. If you come later you will be checked in by telephone. I got myself locked out and got help by using the phonenumber I was handed by my check in. Really helpful. I think the old hotel (many bad reviews) is taken over by Hotel Alda with a chain of over sixty hotels in the North of Spain.

To be improved

Although the hotel isn’t that bad as I read on the internet, there is still some work to be done. There were skidmarks in the toilet, the curtains can do with a washing (lipstick stains and others) and the chair is ready to be thrown out (one big stain).
