“Disappointing and frustrating”
The rooms are nothing like the photos. Windows didn’t open to the outside. Complete bait and switch- did NOT get what I paid for.
“This hotel was spotless and well presented. The receptionist was fantastic and so helpful especially when one of my travel colleagues had actually booked the wrong date! She gave us a fabulous welcome .the difference that makes a difference. The rooms were spacious and well apportioned and met our needs completely. Great stay if you are walking the Camino. · Cons: Nothing to dislike.”

“Black mold, no air circulation, small showers, but friendly staff and nice breakfast area”
The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Marta is a gem. The breakfast area is clean and welcoming, with good a nice continental breakfast selection. The location was pretty convenient, just on the edge of town, close to the 24 hour gas station/convenience store. The attached restaurant, Villanueva was very convenient, and accomodating, with great food, and service.
Black mold! in our room # 219. We had the room booked for 10 days. I developed a cough our second day staying, by the sixth day of our stay, my husband developed a cough that was so bad he couldn't breathe. We did not spend much time in our room other than sleeping, as we were there visiting family. I finally noticed on our sixth day of our stay the black mold in the ceiling. It looked like a shadow at first, because of the recessed edges of the ceiling, but it was the length of the bathroom door, and heavily concentrated. It was midnight when I noticed it, so we did not inform the staff at that time. We slept wearing our masks, that we always wear when traveling. The first thing in the morning, I began packing up the room, while my husband informed the front desk of the situation. They were very surprised and apologetic, and immediately assigned another room. My husband's reaction to the mold severely hampered the remainder of our trip, as he did not have the energy to do all the things his family were planning for us. My cough receded, but my husband's continued, and we went to urgent care when we got back to the States, where he was treated for a bronchial infection, with a steroid shot, antibiotics, and inhaler. I will also note the bathroom in room 219 was one of those very small chamber-type stall showers, where you can't move, and have to squat to reach soap or shampoo, because there are no shelves in the stall. If you are over 200 lbs, you will have a very hard time taking a shower. When we were moved into room # 103, the shower was in a full-size bathtub, so I was relieved to be able to move, but the shower door does not seal off the water, so in spite of positioning the shower head to point in the complete opposite direction, we had water flowing out to the floor. At that point, we only had a few days left of our stay, and I did not want to pack everything up again and move to another room, so we dealt with it.
