Excellent location overlooking the port. Lovely helpful staff. Simple rooms which are clean and comfortable. There is no reception service at night but you get an access code to enter the hotel

The best

Awesome location. Not just for Cimavilla (old town), San Lorenzo and Poniente beaches and the port, but also for Calle Corrida and the other lovely streets that lead towards Paseo Begona and Plaza San Miguel etc (don't miss out on this part of Gijon!) Friendly and helpful staff. 10-minute walk to the (comically rubbish) bus station.

My mattress was like a sponge, but the staff changed it for a much firmer one when I requested it - and they were very nice about it. Bath/shower combo with nothing to hold on to and no grips for your feet.
