“Comfortable but don’t expect to leave early!”

The room was clean and comfortable. We liked the veranda.

To be improved

We were told the bar served food from the menu all day. We are aware that most stop serving early in the day or don’t serve for a while in late afternoon and early evening. We were told that they serve all day and do not close. We ended up with snacks for dinner. Also, we needed to leave early and we were locked in the building until a delivery man came at 5:30. This has to be against fire laws. I liked my stay until I couldn’t leave.

That we were not able to have breakfast because "we did not pay in advance". and the room were only for those that paid in advance.

“Great stopover with secure underground parking.”
The best

Hotel Alfageme was a great stopover between the Picos and northern Portugal on my motorbike tour. The hotel has secure underground parking for my motorbike with a lift directly from the garage to the floor of my room. The manager was very welcoming and spoke good English. The room was large with high ceilings and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of very hot water in the bathroom, which had a bath and shower. There is a small but excellent supermarket 25 metres from the hotel for stocking up on snacks and other necessities. Food in the hotel restaurant was basic but tasty and good value for money. I had Salmon and chips with a salad starter for €14.

To be improved

There is air conditioning in the rooms but mine didn’t seem to be working. This wasn’t problem as I was there in November.
