Clean room. Nice beach/ sea view. Good location. Comfy beds. Adequate breakfast.

Although this hotel has some parking, the bays don’t allow for opening the car doors. They are too small for the majority of modern cars. Our room was on the first floor and all the hubbub from the beach could be heard very loudly as well as noise from the neighbouring balconies. However, the main disappointment was, contrary to some other reviews, a very lukewarm reception on arrival and also in subsequent interactions with reception staff. With the exception of the cleaners, we did not find the staff friendly at all. On one day, at breakfast, a waitress even made a sarcastic comment to us, not realising we could speak fluent Spanish, she looked pretty embarrassed when she realised. The adjoining hotel bar was expensive and when a gust of wind made the sunshade fall onto us due to not being fixed into its stand, the waiters didn’t even rush to assist! We do not wish to stay at this hotel again but would possibly return to Isla as it’s convenient for catching flights from Santander.

The best

Lovely sea (and tree) view, good size balcony with table and chairs. Secure parking on site. Really comfortable beds with high quality linen. Included high quality pastries at breakfast. Really good fixed price lunch included a whole bottle of wine for two. Great location - just a few steps to the beach. Really friendly and helpful staff, many thanks.
