Hotel Alfonso IX

We slept here only for one night and it was not the best option. The people at the hotel were very nice with us and they offered lemonade in the check in however, the apart-hotel had a not very good smell and we heared a lot of noise during the night and in the morning (mainly the cars passing in the street).

Alfonso IX is located between old and new town, ideal. It is on a very narrow street where parking on arrival is almost impossible. There is however a public underground car park just a short distance away for €10 per night. The hotel itself is adequate, plumbing in adjacent rooms tended to be very noisy. Staff were really helpful. Good bar/cafe. The town of Caseres is pretty spectacular with impressive churches all round old town. Plaza Mayor is the central hub and really lively place surrounded by bars, cafes and shops.

The hotel is extremely well located. We have booked via Agoda and paid 50 euros per night in sept 2016. The staff at the desk is extremely helpful. The wifi is free and was working properly in the room. I will return.

Hotel is centrally located, old, plumbing issues impossible to shower and no consideration for the inconvenience. Terrible service did not aknowledge their problems with plumbinb. Can be noisy at night with bars located directly below.

During a recent festival I spent a wonderful 3 nights in this hotel with three other people. I highly recommend this small hotel in the center of Caceres. The hospitality, cleanliness and general helpfulness of the staff was top class. I highly recommend this hotel.

GOOD HOTEL LOCATION the room was clean and comfortable breakfast was plentiful and varied. Room door had its own idea as how to open. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Restaurants were right outside the front door. Short walk from train station and close to the Comino Trail.
