“Good value at this older but comfortable hotel with bar and breakfast/lunch facilities.”

The best

This was an older but clean and somewhat attractive hotel. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the staff was agreeable. The breakfast selection ( which we paid extra for) was sufficient with very reasonable prices. It was nice that it had a bar although it could have been more inviting with soft chairs anmd lighting - more of a breakfast room really. However the hotel provided good value for the money.

To be improved

The location would have been fine if you were just passing through but we wished we had stayed down in the old town where we would have been close to restaurants and be able to enjoy strolling around the picturesque streets. It was a bit of a walk to get there from this hotel and as we were sharing a car we didn't have the flexibililty to drive down whenever we wanted to.

The age of the rooms compared with the reception and not being able to open a window, but that’s my problem because I was once in a fire.
