Hotel Anfora Ibiza

The pool and the service, food and drinks at the pool were fantastic. A really friendly team! The hotel is clean and a very cool, chilled place. We appreciate the chilled Ibiza vibe and that it wasn’t too big. The rooms are fine, clean, tidy and practical with nice balconies overlooking the pool. It’s an easy walk to Cala Nova or the quieter more kid friendly Cala Martina. Breakfast was good and overall we’d love to visit again. We arrived at the hotel a little earlier than expected and were able to use the pool etc before check in. Same for check out. We checked out and stored our bags there while going to the beach for the day, then back to the pool. They have some changing rooms/shower room for those arriving early/departing late. Highly recommend this hotel

It's still lovely after the 3rd visit.. Rooms are clean & maybe a bit on the small side but again served us well.. The hotel is clean throughout & always smells lovely.. Breakfast has numerous choices, but sometimes the food under hot plate could be lukewarm & sometimes cold... The staff are lovely & will always be pleasant & helpful.. Reason for only 4* this time was due to the back pool that had a lot of children taking over all the spaces, including the jacuzzi, which was full of kids & inflatables, it became very chaotic at times.The front pool was quieter but has less sun. Apart from the weather at the beginning of our holiday, we enjoyed our time here, but certain aspects did put a little damper on it but still a lovely place to stay.

On arriving our room wasn’t ready as we were on an early flight but reception let us drop our bags and they were kept in a locked room. Rooms are clean and modern we had a balcony overlooking the front pool. Shower gel, shampoo etc all provided along with small fridge, safe, kettle snd hairdryer. If ladies are taking maxi dresses there wasn’t anywhere long enough to hang them, the wardrobe was only long enough for tops (not sire if this os the same on all rooms. Staff are all friendly and helpful, breakfast is good with breads, meat, cheeses, cooked breakfast items and fruit. We were half board so also had evening meals. I have to say these were not good, mostly cold or luke warm so I would advise going just bread and breakfast. There are plenty of places to eat and we soon decided to eat out at lunch so that if tea was disappointing at least we’d had a nice meal. Pool areas are clean, comfortable loungers, bean bags, floor cushions and the hotel supplies pool towels no need to pay deposits. The hotel is minutes walk from the beach, shops, ferry boat, taxi rank and bus stop. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel but not for half board.

The hotel is clean & the staff are friendly. However the constant instrumental music that it played throughout the hotel, at both pools & on your balcony is mind numbing. It is apparently designed to be relaxing music but it is just annoying every day. If you want peace and quiet this is definitely not the hotel for you. This music is apparently a management directive. Sorry not everyone wants to hear the same music every day.

Third stay at the Hotel Anfora and another first class stay. The hotel is in an excellent position to explore Es Canar, other local beaches and the rest of the Island. A very calm and tranquil atmosphere throughout the hotel, no rushing or queuing. Excellent rooms and communal areas and everywhere spotlessly clean. The staff are all very friendly and super efficient. The breakfast is spot on and the evening meals are a sensation with a different varied menu each evening and unobtrusive waiter service. A very good car park is on site with wide spaces and security barrier. We cannot fault any aspect of this hotel.

We have just returned from two weeks at Hotel Anfora. As others have stated, this hotel is very clean. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and efficient. The room was nice with a bit of a strange layout with the hand basin being in the main part of the room. The wardrobe hanging space was no good if you had anything longer than a shirt to hang. Breakfast was not too bad but by no means any better than any other we have experienced around the resort hotels and we come to EsCana sometimes twice a year. The cooked food simply is not as hot as it should be. Evening meal is al a carte. There is little to no choice if you are vegetarian or vegan. The menu is very fish heavy which is fine if you want fish for almost every meal. Again the food is often served up only just warm if you are lucky and always on a cold plate. The pool areas are nice. Sun beds are usually easy to find, they are clean and comfortable. The back pool is very vigilant about making sure that guests do not consume anything at all that they have not purchased at the hotel. This they say is for health and safety reasons but of course is really just to control the guests spending habits. We preferred the front pool. The same rules apply but not so stringently patrolled. There did not seem to be any clear guidelines on smoking so there was smoking by the pool on the terraces and on the balconies if not actually in the rooms so this was not the classy ambience we had thought we were going to experience. We would not recommend this hotel and cannot understand all the fabulous reviews it gets unless they are coming from bed and breakfast guests only.
