“Good place for retirees”
The best

I had a late check-in that went well. The room was a nice size and everything clean. A good place to stay if you are driving as Bilbao is no longer accessible and the access by train is easy with a stop only 10 minutes walk. Nice park behind the hotel.

To be improved

The breakfast was an awful crab tortilla with way too much mayonnaise and grease. Sparrows were very aggressive, matched only by the aggressiveness of the waiter. The place felt a bit too expensive for a stopover.

“Friendly and comfortable stay”
The best

I can’t quite get my head around some of the poor reviews. We were staying here for two nights for the Europa league final. When we checked in the staff were great with all the information, and the hotel manager informed us on the night of the game she would be staying up late to ensure everybody was back okay, a classy touch. The hotel itself is located in a really quiet area, 5 minutes walk to the metro, 15 minutes to the nearest beach, and loads of bars within a 10 minute walking distance too. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and great value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again.
