“Brilliant hotel”
The best

Very happy with our stay in this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful in giving us places to visit around bilbao. The room was very nice with a good view of the city. The bus stop to the city centre is next to the hotel and cost 1.5 euro however it only runs once an hour. The funicular is about 30 mins by foot.

“I would definitely stay at this hotel again only if I arrived in a car”
The best

I chose this hotel because there was free car parking and a bus service nearby to get into Bilbao city centre. The staff were wonderful and the place was immaculate Plenty of choice for breakfast.

To be improved

The hotel does not have a restaurant and the hotel opposite has limited food .

“Excellent in all ways -- apart from breakfast”
The best

The air conditioning was amazing. The tea, coffee, biscuits and kettle were great. The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. The bus stop was next to the hotel. The views were incredible and amazing.

To be improved

The breakfast was very stressful. Due to a small dining room, guests has to take turns. However, we were limited to 45 minutes. This should be extended substantially. Furthermore, the breakfast selection was poor and of mixed quality. For example, the juice, sandwich and yoghurt were good. The others items were not so good. There was little choice.

Wheelchair dependent with no legs so height of bed, WC etc important. Drive a Sprinter van so access for parking with no height restrictions important.

“Friendly, welcoming staff in a lovely hotel with stunning views”
The best

Recently stayed here for 3 nights. Before arrival I was contacted on whatsapp to say they were looking forward to welcoming us and upon arrival to the moment we left, all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean, large and had great views over the city. We decided to have breakfast, which was decent and had plenty of options to set you up for the day. The location worked for us as we had a car which enabled us to drive to the funicular railway (free parking) and was a good base for travelling around the Basque Country and beyond. The location may not be as good if you don't have a car as the bus into town is one every hour and the nearest metro station is some distance away and the whole area is very hilly.
