“Rude owner”
BAD Rude owner and unfriendly. Mattress was hard and not comfortable. Bed was underclothed, the temperature was a little chill as you can't manipulate the heating system. The price was high for the rooms. GOOD Room clean, good location and views.
“Excellent spot with beautiful views to rest for a night or two”
We arrived very early and were allowed to check in and leave our bikes inside. The location is amazing and our room had an incredible view of Bilbao and the surrounding mountains. Even though we arrived early and checked out very late the next day we were allowed to keep our belongings there so we could go for a day trip. The free breakfast is basic but has enough to fill you up for a day of sight seeing. The whole place was spotless, and the facilities were great to cook our own food. The staff were very friendly, informative and laid back. Overall an absolute bargain for what you get
“Ferry stopover”
We just stayed one night before an early ferry home. Friendly staff and nice room. Decor a bit tired and car park a squeeze but fine. We walked about 20 mins to the furinicalar down to the city. Had an interesting few hours sightseeing before hitting the tapas bars in the plaza nueva. Got a 20e taxi back although you can get a bus both ways.
“Views overlooking Bilbao”
Quite a small hotel on a hill overlooking Bilbao. There is a convenient Funicular railway a short walk away that serves downtown Bilbao then an easy stroll to the Guggenheim Museum. We arrived by motorcycle and parking was adequate - however, if biking, do be aware of a slight dip in the ground just at the entrance. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was an enjoyable stay and i am happy to stay again when I next visit Bilbao.
“Amazing views and good value”
You wouldn't want to stay here to explore Bilbao but for a one night stay it is excellent. The car park is a little small and steep for large vehicles (I have a long-wheelbase Renault Trafic) but is free and there is no height limit. Despite advertising English-speaking staff there were none there when I visited. Large bar but nobody to serve drinks. They used this room to serve a very poor (but also included in the price) breakfast in the morning. It consisted of packets of mini pastries and coffee. Walls between rooms are quite thin and the televisions are mounted on the walls so it is easy to hear next door's programme noise.
“very good value but limited facilities”
Clean and comfortable room. Good value for money. However the facilities are limited. No English spoken. There was a bar but no one there. I don't think they did breakfast. Total lack of information either written or spoken, not easy to find either.
