“One night stay”
First of the hotels placement is perfect just by the shoppingstreet and there are no clubs/disco that you hear so it is quiet from the outside. But you have to bear in mind that the walls are extremly thin so you will hear the other guest when they listen to tv, and move the furnitures so bring earplugs! Second it is a 1 star hotel but the standard is better than most 1 star hotels. There was an AC but it didnt work so when you have checked in, I recommend you to try it the first thing you do so you dont freeze if you are there in the winter. Luckely we had 3 blankets but it was really cold when we stepped out of the bed. The management isnt at the hotel all the time so we couldnt reach them and ask them to help us with the AC. Some things could be better such as better pillows. We got one long in a double bed so the sharing wasent so easy.. There was a glap in our bed lamp which can be quite dangerous if you get a electricity hit. The staff should check that everything works before they give out the room. The manager was however very kind and serviceminded when we did talk to him and we felt very welcome! We had our car with us so we got that solved very easy and it costed 10€/nigh for the parking in the parking garage close by.
“Good location”
A pleasant, small, simple, family run hotel in an ideal location, just off the main pedestrian shopping street, near lots of cafes and restaurants, walking distance to all attractions and also to the train and bus stations. Do not confuse it with Arunda 2, which is closer to the bus station but further from the town centre.
“So close and convenient”
I lucked out finding this hotel. I had just gotten off the train, walked a few blocks and found the Hotel Arunda I. The price was right, the desk clerk friendly and helpful, and the room neat, tidy and attractive. A comfy bed and roomy bathroom. Heading out the front door, take two left turns, walk 15 ,minutes and you are downtown, about as far as you want to go before heading over the cliff. I dealt with a series of desk clerks, all equally friendly and helpful. I stayed about four nights and appreciated every minute I was with them.
“Hidden GEM”
I just saw this hotel and went inside to ask about rooms by chance. And stayed... The room is basic but it has everything you need. It was spotless and super neat. Everything in perfect working order. As if all that was not enough, the kind of service I received from the staff and the owners was FIVE STARS!!! I cannot emphasize enough how good this place was. The coffee shop next door was perfect, because I like typical everyday places for local people. I would have stay longer but I could not.
“It does what it says on the tin. Cheap and cheerful”
Staff were helpful. As everyone says, it was basic, but clean. Free WiFi. No English speaking channels on TV!!!!! Its near everything. There's no roof terrace, or anywhere outside your own room, to just 'sit'. Don't bother paying extra for the breakfast, which is served at the corner Cafe. You have to fight for a table with normal passing trade, and all it was, was toasted bread or roll with butter & Jam, or Pork Pate, olive oil and tinned tomatoes??!!! Not exactly morning breakfast for the English!!! If all you want is a clean bed for the night, it meets the brief.
“A cheap, basic stayover”
I spent one night at the Hotel Arunda 1. Check in was easy, the room was clean and comfortable but small and a bit dated. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot and the hotels location is quite good. Within easy walking distance from the train station (around 10 mins) and close enough to walk to the main attractions and old area. The only down side was the walls are very thin. I could here people on one side talking loudly and someone on the other side snoring like a freight train.
