“Good Barcelona hotel”
The best

Clean tidy room. Nice atmosphere. Good base for walking around Barcelona and close to both the orange and green bus routes around the city tour. Safe in room was included in price. Room only option available if wish to eat out in the day. Roof top terrace. Rooms no view.

The best

When we requested anything from the front desk staff they were very quick to respond. The hotel was centrally located to shops, restaurants and Viator meeting locations we needed. The bartender was extremely cordial and friendly.

To be improved

Our room was super small especially for two people with luggage. Our son stayed in the same hotel at the same rate we paid and his room was easily twice as large as ours. The tub in the bathroom with an overhead shower was extremely narrow to the point you could not stand comfortably in the shower. Your feet would be curved up and it was uncomfortable. I had to stand sideways. It was also awkward that the glass partition did not extend the entire length of the bathtub and that it would move inward. You had to be very careful where you stood to shower so as not to spray water outside the shower area. The breakfast was priced about evenly with a hotel we stayed at in Naples; however, the selection, for the cost was extremely limited.

The best

The hotel is amazing, it’s been a wonderful stay. The rooms are nice and tidy and the staff are exceptional, especially the night staff who helped us when we were delayed flying in and when we needed to swap rooms. Our stay would not have been so wonderful without them.

“Great location and staff”
The best

Stayed here with my son on a visit to Barcelona. The hotel location was great. Very convenient to Pg. de Gracia and all the wonderful shopping and about a 20 minute walk from a lot of other things. We easily did walks to the Gothic Quarter and other neighborhoods and were a short walk (5-10 minutes) from the Diagonal Metro station that would take us anywhere else in the city we wanted to go. The hotel was very nice and the staff were great. The breakfast was good, not the best I have had in Europe, but sufficient and met our needs. My only complaints were the bathroom in our room had a poorly draining shower and broken shower door. I reported this to the staff upon our departure and they said they would look into it. I also would have like to have had a kettle in my room like you have in most parts of Europe.

The best

My stay at Hotel Astoria was truly special. The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, especially in its common areas, where you can sometimes enjoy spontaneous piano concerts and admire a rich art collection that gives the place a unique cultural touch. The guests themselves were also fascinating, adding to the inspiring and cosmopolitan vibe of the hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always ready to help — and always with a smile. This wonderful team, led by Pep Camps, brings that special spark that turns a stay at the Astoria into a heartfelt and memorable experience. A very special thank you to the entire team for making me feel so welcome and at home. Your warmth and professionalism truly made a difference.
