Hotel Balcón de Europa

We've stayed here way to many times really but it really is such a brilliant hotel. The place is smart and spotlessly clean, the staff are professional and courteous, and is perfectly locatated for stunning views over a traffic free plaza. Great choice and quality of food. Just perfect really 😎🍹

Stayed in the Hotel Balcon de Europa in Nerja for 3 nights in February, and it was a wonderful experience. We had a fabulous room with and balcony which had amazing sea views and also a view on the Balcon itself. The room was beautiful and there were some lovely touches like a gift of a bottle of cava and a bottle of wine, as well as a Balcon de Europa recycled cotton hold-all. Breakfast each morning was excellent with a great range of choices and again amazing sea views. The staff were very friendly and very efficient. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Balcon de Europa for 6 nights in a room facing the sea with a balcony. We found the room quite small, but the bed was very comfortable, lots of hot water in the shower, very clean, and spectacular view from the balcony. The lobby and reception are designated to be on the 6th floor, which makes the elevator a bit confusing. Breakfast was very good in a lovely bright room facing the sea. A small detail, but most hotels of this calibre provide body lotion and conditioner in the bathroom but this one only has shampoo and soap. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return again.

We booked this hotel due to it’s central location and position directly on the sea front. My husband is recovering from knee surgery so we were looking for a relaxing break which wouldn’t require too much walking, and this hotel did not let us down! We booked a Junior Suite which was very spacious, quiet, and had amazing views. The sound of the waves lapping against the shore was so relaxing - the best nights sleep we had experienced in a long time. Housekeeping was of a very high standard with tea/coffee/milk replenished daily. There was even a complimentary bottle of cava in the room when we arrived which went down very well whilst admiring the views from our balcony. The hotel was spotless and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was of a high standard, with fresh fruit every morning and the choice of either served filter coffee/tea or self-serve machine. The perfect, relaxing break that we needed and we look forward to returning.

Really enjoyed Nerja and the gorgeous village of Frigliana which is 15mins on the bus at a cost of 1.30 euros each way, its a must if you're in the area. The local bars and restaurants in Nerja are plentiful and very reasonably priced with many offering a menu of the day for approx 13 euros for 3 courses. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the hotel and our room was pristine clean, with a fridge plenty power points, tea and coffee making facilities plus a nice selection of toiletries, tooth brushes and a few other bits provided as well as pool towels and a handy bag to use and keep. The breakfast was 7.30 till 10.30am with all the hot and cold things you would expect and always plenty provided. The hotel is of the older traditional style and still has its Spanish charm and set in the best part of Nerja with easy access to everything and has a great patio right on the Balcon de Europa and another downstairs on the beach selling drinks and snacks. We really enjoyed our stay and found all the staff to be very friendly and willing to help and when returning to Nerja we will definitely stay here again. Thanks for having us.

Our first visit to Nerja to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. It is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were shown to our room down on the 1st floor. We had opted for a junior suite, a lovely large room, large very comfortable bed, great seating area and a great balcony overlooking the little private beach. We loved sitting out there, very quiet, only the sounds of waves crashing on the rocks, it was perfect. The hotel staff had kindly put a complimentary bottle of cava to chill in the fridge, much appreciated. The bathroom was a good size and well appointed. Excellent powerful shower with instant hot water. The breakfasts were fine, just typical breakfast buffet I suppose, but never overcrowded, well spaced out. Good selection of breads, and a little omelette station. It’s our last day today, we had a fantastic time and will definitely return.
