“Traditional building with lovely features”
A lovely old building with a traditional courtyard and gallery to access the rooms. Great view from the rooms at the front, which are nice and airy with vaulted ceilings.
No bar and very limited restaurant opening times and menu (e.g. no lunch). No English spoken though staff were friendly and we muddled through.
“Lovely ambiance and views, fascinating building well restored.”
Beautiful views from room and terrace where we had dinner. The building was lovely and wish we had time to enjoy the bath it looked amazing.
The food was very basic, we expected good local fresh food with character. The breakfast was adequate but nothing fresh.
“Romantic and tranquil hotel”
Beautiful setting and tranquil location. Used this to visit nearby attractions such as oasis mini Hollywood and Almeria. Great value meals.
Ok for a couple of days. Would not be a good idea for any longer than a weekend.
“Extremely comfortable an welcoming couples with historic building and courtyard. A lovely end to our Andalusian trip”
Stunning location and beautiful old building
“Charming small hotel felt really special”
This charming 18th-century building was a beautiful and restful place to round off our trip to Almería and around. The rooms were lovely, with great views from the southern-facing side. We stayed with half board and it was lovely not to have to cook. The dinners were generous and delicious. We also visited the baths (1 hour in the albercas) with our two kids; the water was perfect for the adults but too hot for the children. Fortunately the other pool that we hadn't booked was cooler (and vacant) so they went in there! I reserve my main praise for the staff, who were all lovely, friendly and helpful.
The breakfast would benefit from more fresh options for the bread, pastries and maybe some eggs. There was fruit, juices, cheese, ham, and yoghurt available but also lots of unhealthy ultra-processed sweet food in plastic. I also would have loved to have a kettle in the room (there was a fridge).
“Staff were friendly and welcoming, food was nice and rooms had heated floors. · Cons: The room was very bare and beds weren’t the comfiest.”
