“Zero Flexibility, No Customer Care”
This was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. Due to a simple and honest mistake, I ended up with a duplicate booking one through an agency and another throu different platform directly same day of arrival. I immediately explained the situation and made it very clear that I did not use one of the bookings at all. What was truly disappointing was the complete lack of understanding or basic customer care from the hotel staff. There was zero effort to assist, no flexibility, and no attempt to even consider a reasonable solution. I fully understand hotel policies, but hiding behind strict rules without any human consideration reflects very poorly on management and service standards. In the hospitality industry, how you handle situations like this defines your reputation — and unfortunately, this hotel failed completely. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when booking here, as any issue or mistake will likely be met with indifference rather than support. I wish if they were nice to me /: i felt unwelcome Additionally, the parking situation was extremely inconvenient and outdated. Instead of a simple or modern system, guests are required to manually unlock and manage physical barriers, which is frustrating and unnecessary for a hotel. This adds extra stress, especially when arriving tired or carrying luggage. For a hotel, this level of inconvenience is unacceptable and far below expected standard I expected much better from a hotel in a tourist destination.
“Good value but hiked the price.”
The room was booked via booking.com at £76 inc taxes but when I checked in the hotel wanted £86 plus taxes. Having spent ages looking for somewhere to park I just paid it, reluctantly. The hotel is nicely decorated and located in Marivent. The room was great, clean and spacious. Breakfast was a hot & cold buffet, which looked great.
“Holiday from Hell!”
I visited Be Live Adults Only Marivent in September 2025 with a friend. The hotel is located on a beach that feels private to the hotels, but is a public beach. The hotel itself I would consider 1-2 stars based on the amenities and general service. The room was extremely basic and worn down, and the view from the window was looking straight into residential flats and what looked like a dodgy "massage" shop to the side. There are only two lifts in the hotel and they felt like they could break at any moment, and the hallway carpet was very worn. We would often walk to breakfast and see the room service from the previous night on the floor outside people's rooms which wasn't pleasant. The breakfast was poor and so was the service, the tables were not laid out with cutlery and when I asked for some. The waitor told me to go inside and get my own out of the cutlery tray. While staying at the resort, both myself and my friend had our mobile phones and purses stolen from the beach (we left the items unattended for all of two minutes). We were really stressed by the situation as we had no money or way of contacting anyone. When we went to the hotel reception they were incredibly unhelpful and frustrated at us requesting to use their hotel reception to call family to try and help us cancel our credit cards - they suggested we use the free hotel room phone. I asked the receptionist if phone theft was common in the area and she reassured me that it wasn't. Due to the hostile nature of the staff, we resorted to using the phones of kind people on the beach and managed to resolve our personal issues. I again asked whether this was common in the area and I was told no, the next day on the beach a girl ran past crying because her belongings had been stolen. The following day, as we enquired at the hotel reception where the police station was to report the theft, another couple of guests staying at the hotel were asking the same question - as again, they had their belongings stolen. While I appreciate theft isn't the hotels fault, it became very clear that they were aware this happened on the beach and a simple warning to guests checking in to inform them to be careful on the beach and not leave belongings unattended (because it feels like a private beach to the hotels) could have prevented this situation for many guests, and supporting distressed guests who are left stranded in another country with no form of communication or money, is a basic human right let alone a premium service standard. There are several Reddit threads on line of multiple victims of phone theft on this beach where there devices have been shipped to Romania: https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/1mqcfx6/stolen_phone_in_romania/ Upon checking out and after informing us to use the free room in the phone, we were faced with a bill for the phone charge which we were unable to pay due to not having any money. Fortunately, the hotel did not follow up on this. Generally, the stay was expensive for a European holiday and I would not recommend for anyone to go here. On top of this, it is a commutable distance to the centre of Palma by bus, but it takes up to 30 minutes.
“All positive!!!”
We had a fantastic time. Location is brilliant, staff very welcoming and happy to help with anything at all. The hotel very clean and tidy and the breakfast was great. Treated myself to a massage with Lola who was very professional and makes you feel very at ease, feeling like a new man. Price is good and service is excellent.
“Such a shame, unnecessary.”
Unfortunately our experience wasn’t as good as usual, neither the coffee nor the milk cartons were refilled in our room and when I noticed at 06:45, I phoned the receptionist and asked for refills, I was told to fetch them myself from the kitchen, because the receptionist said he was on his own and couldn’t leave the reception desk.
“Very bad experience”
Our stay was very disappointing. The room was in terrible condition — the bathroom had visible mold, the towels were old and even had holes, and the toilet had a horrible smell with no ventilation, which was unbelievable. The bed sheets were never changed, only rearranged. Most of the reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, except for the youngest member, who was the only polite one. The parking situation was extremely bad and very expensive. Finding the entrance was also difficult, and there was no proper welcome when we arrived. The outdoor access to the beach was broken, and even after informing reception, nothing was fixed, so we had to walk through the street to reach the beach. The only positive points were the good breakfast and the friendly breakfast staff. Overall, the price was high and the service quality was very poor. I would not recommend staying here.
