“Cons: Booked a non-smoking room as I was staying with my children, but we were given a room that smelled strongly of cigarette or cigar smoke-similar to a cigar bar. When I brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, they were unable to offer any assistance or resolution.”

“The hotel itself was lovely, centrally located with lovely rooms · Cons: Check in was awful. Virtual check in with key card for the room not available and the code meant to open the front door not working. Asked to just ring the bell to get in - it took an age to be answered so not ideal especially when travelling with a dog who needed out and in”

Good Nespresso coffee machine. Remote staff was efficient at check in.

To be improved

Manned reception is only 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Virtual reception available 24 hours a day. Our washroom/toilet trash bin was left full of the previous guests' filthy stuff. Remote staff did not offer another room and this sanitary failure left its mark on everything. We were simply too tired to look for another hotel. One side of the bed had no bedside closet and no electric socket - very uncomfortable. The safe was buried deep in a shelf and could not be used. The minibar did not cool. To top it off - a poor cold buffet.
