“Slice of heaven within heaven”
This is a beautiful hotel in an amazing location (particularly for Semana Santa) sandwiched between the cathedral and the bodega. Rooms are lovely, beds super comfortable, breakfast is delicious, service is top notch and the rooftop pool and bar are beautiful. We had the junior suite, which also had a lovely private terrace. Highly recommend if you are visiting Jerez (which I highly recommend you do….what a gorgeous place😎)!
“Hotel Bodega Tio Pepe is Perfect”
Beautiful hotel with sleek rooms that have high ceilings and stunning bathrooms. The beds are huge and very comfy, too. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful — the key to our room stopped working and after several attempts to fix it, they changed our room and even helped us carry our stuff from one to the other! The breakfast menu is minimal but don’t be deterred — it’s all delicious. And the hotel's location puts you in walking distance to several sherry bodegas, historical monuments, and restaurants. Can’t wait to return to Jerez and stay there again!
“Great but not perfect!”
Excellent location right next to the Cathedral and Bodega Tio Pepe. Fabulous roof terrace with great views. It was too cold to swim but pool is really tiny...Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is billed as continental but you an choose from a limited cooked egg menu as well. A bar (Solera) was signed but it seemed like an alcove off the breakfast room and unused. We missed dressing gowns and slippers in the room and a kettle...trying to make tea in the coffee maker was hopeless. The wardrobe in our room was not designed to take long clothes. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and I hope these criticisms are constructive!
“Guest House vibes”
My wife and I stayed for a couple of. Nights in Feb visiting Jerez. The hotel is in a city centre location, spotlessly clean and extremely modern. The staff were attentive, the room was made daily and the shower was excellent. You can easily unload outside the hotel and there is a Telpark car park a few minutes walk away and if you download the app and book before you enter then I was charged €21 for 3 days. Breakfast was ok, they give you a menu and there are a few choices. The produce was excellent and the presentation was great. The room itself is quite small and in my opinion the service was a little too good. The whole experience felt very claustrophobic & with no background music it felt like you were having breakfast on the silent carriage of a train with 2 conductors standing over you watching your every move… As it was Feb the weather wasn’t conducive to use the outdoor pool but I went onto the roof and took a look and whilst the area was pleasant enough the pool was very small and the area looked a little tired (I compare this to the rest of the hotel which reminded me of a show home). The hotel doesn’t really have a bar area and there’s nowhere to sit outside of your room other than a couple of sofas in the corridors. To summarise its an immaculate hotel with great staff and all of the fixtures, fittings, food and wine have a high end feel however I felt it was all a bit sterile, the room was extremely small and there were no areas to explore / relax in. If you like small hotels and looking for a base to explore you cannot fault the hotel and many will love this hotel Jerez is definitely worth a visit and the small tapas bars are authentic and full of character. I would suggest 1 or 2 days to explore the city is more than enough and a train to Sevilla takes an hour and runs pretty regularly
“Marvellous”
The real test of any establishment is when things go wrong. This hotel came up trumps in that regard. In addition it is attached to a restaurant which more than justifies its exceptional views with equally exceptional cooking. A truly great combination. I cannot conceive of anywhere better to stay in Jerez.
“Wonderful hotel”
Our room was very comfortable and with a lovely view over the Cathedral from the windows. The roof terrrace bar was great, again with the views of the Cathedral & across the rooftops. We did the tour round the Wine estate which was very interesting & scenic. Breakfast the next morning was to order and very tasty. I wish we could have had it out on the terrace area but just a bit too cold for that which was a shame. Overall an amazing hotel.
