“Fantastic Short Break”
My wife and I have just stayed here for 4 nights from 26th Feb. We found the location great. Small bus ride into Alicante. Rooms were very good, clean, comfortable and great value. We had no issues with road noise and all the staff were excellent. We stayed half board and we really enjoyed all of the food. We had also hired a car so were able to venture up and down the coast. San Juan is a lovely beach area, about 4km away, with plenty of places to eat and drink and then a bit further up to El Campello which was fantastic. We really enjoyed ourselves and wouldn't hesitate to go back and stay at this hotel.
“Very enjoyable holiday”
We stayed at Hotel Boutique Calas de Alicante for 7 nights over Christmas. We arrived around 02-00 and we greeted and made very welcome by the night receptionist. Our room was just what we required, clean and a nice size bathroom. The A/C was simple to operate and heated the room quickly. A small minor issue was, I think the room used to be a twin and is now a double, but the bedside cabinets were fixed and were a little too far from one side of the bed. I am sure they we be fixing this soon. The room had a free safe and a fridge with minibar. The hotel its self was nicely set out. Nice outside tables and two small pools, (being as it was Christmas time we did not use any of the outside facilities, therefore cannot comment further. I will say that it all looked good and was well maintained and clean. The restaurant area was simple but functional. There was plenty of food. The only real issue I had was with the evening meal the main courses were not labelled. At times it was difficult to distinguish what was there. This would not mater much really, but I am Coeliac and therefore need to know what is in the food. I will say though on our first night I asked what was Gluten free, and was informed after they check that none of the main courses were GF. The chef cooked me something extra. All the food I could eat was good and all the food was plenty full and of a good quality. As said some labelling would help. These couple of issues a side, our stay was very enjoyable and all the staff were very helpful and always help to help. Yes, we would be happy to return, may be when the weather warms up

“Peaceful”
Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay . Myself and 19 year old son I booked Bed and breakfast option. Choice of breakfast was full English or continental with lots of sweet pastries added. We ate our evening meals from the varied menu from traditional Spanish to burgers. All were excellent . The room was lovely, clean and maintained twice in our 4 day stay. Not a bug or ant in sight The hotel is in a residential area but has a beach 2 minutes down the hill but no beach amenities . Buses run every 20 minutes to Alicante for 1 euro 50. The stop is outside the hotel. If you want a non touristy base with excellent service this hotel is a must. I would definitely revisit
“Enjoyable”
We had an Enjoyable stay in this hotel. The rooms were spotless and had all you needed; kettle, small fridge, shampoo, conditioner (combined), shower gel. However pool towels were not provided. As previously reviewed the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours conversations and our room had a lot of road noise (ear plugs recommended). The staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was adequate though the cooked items were not to our taste. The pool is small with only 16 sun beds. There was not a big demand for sun beds during our stay so we had no issues. The hotel is in a residential area and a fair distance from the main attractions. There is a bus stop nearby and the number 22 costs £1.45 to get into the city centre or to the beach in the opposite direction. We found the 15min bus ride fine but would’ve preferred to have been closer to the city. Overall we had a lovely stay at this hotel and would recommend it.
