“Comfortable, great value in an excellent location”
The best

Great location on the edge of the historic old town & cathedral and very close to the Alhambra. Room was comfortable and offered good facilities, including a fridge and bottled water which was replaced each day. The room was a good size considering that this is a city hotel and the value very good. Good choice of food for breakfast, but only served from 8am, which isn't ideal if you have an early start. The bar has a pleasant vibe, tapas served with drinks and open to the public. The highlight of this hotel is the roof terrace bar with views of Granada. Would recommend and not hestitate to book if we are in Granada again.

“Fabulous stay”
The best

Fantastic boutique hotel located in the heart of the old town. Staff were extremely helpful and professional and helped us to book taxi’s for both our arrival and departure. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful views of Alhambra Palace and being off a side street were nice and quiet. There is also a lovely roof terrace ideal for drinks as the sun goes down. Would definitely recommend.

“Excellent quality and location”
The best

We stayed here as a family of four with two teenage kids. They had connected two rooms with separate baths which was a great help for getting ready in the morning. The location is excellent. The steps from plaza Nueva. Try to request a room that's not by the road as it got noisy till late at night and sometimes early morning when trash pickup happened. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend this hotel. The front desk is well staffed with helpful people and they also have a bar and restaurants downstairs, though we did not eat there. The only weird thing was that the bathrooms don't have a door lock, but that was common to all places we stayed at Spain

“Excellent location, close to the Alhambra, and the centre but quiet. Excellent value.”
The best

The hotel suited us very well, ticking our main boxes of central location, easy to get to, but not noisy. The taxi from the rank at the coach station was less than 10 euros, as was the return from the rank a few minutes downhill from the hotel. We paid a little extra for one of the larger Superior Mauror rooms (we were given 107), both for the space and to ensure it would be particularly quiet, which it was, looking out at a cliff wall. We even had the windows open with no noise. Others rooms are probably also fairly quiet as the street was pedestrianised and on the edge of the town, with few walking at night. There was a mini-fridge, kettle and safe. Two filtered water bottles were provided each day. We had two single beds beside each other, which was OK. We didn’t pay for the breakfast in advance as it was 15 euros each. In the event we used it on the first and third days, partly because of convenience and as it was fair, but not great value. They did have reasonable fresh fruit available, but overall the range of items wasn’t great, eg no seeds. The first day range of items was particularly disappointing, with only one hot food container being used, and no fresh or even unsweetened yoghurt. That was probably because of low numbers staying – the final day was much better, with the second hot food container being used, and a few non-sugared yoghurts (though not fresh). The basement room didn’t have a particularly great atmosphere. Providing fresh yoghurt and a range of seeds and nuts would be something that could be done relatively easily and would make a big difference. We used the roof top terrace twice – it was very pleasant. A late afternoon drink and a coffee. It closed at 6pm, which seemed rather early for late March, but would have been cold a bit later. In the summer it would be very nice to eat up there (the video in the lift suggests they have it open then, sometimes with music). The information on when it was open could have been a bit clearer (online it seemed to suggest the restaurant which is called Alarique was bookable in the evening). It also wasn’t very clear what the downstairs bar offered in terms of food. There were a few other things that might have been better, but all were relatively minor, given what we paid. As noted the information on the restaurant and café wasn’t very clear. The air con was difficult to understand and did not seem to engage, perhaps because of the time of year. We just opened the windows. And the TV did have rather limited local channels (I had hoped to watch a football world cup playoff game).

“Great Location for Alhambra, Cathedral and Royal Chapel”
The best

This is a quality hotel in an excellent location. The hotel is within walking distance of Alhambra on a quiet street with limited traffic access. Much of Granada is hilly and this hotel is on a hill. The walk to Alhambra is very much uphill, but of course the walk back is downhill. The Cathedral and the Royal Chapel are an easy walk away. Plenty of city amenities are also within walking distance. We had the room with the view of Alhambra which is nicely lit at night. A good view. Breakfast was average by European standards and does not open until 8 AM (and, as some in our travelling party learned, not a second earlier). Our room was a good size and the bathroom was first rate. There was a bar on the top floor but did not make it there. The staff was welcoming and assisted us in arranging transportation when departing.
