The bathroom/toilet is separated from the bedroom with a transparent glass. The curtain is sufficiently thin for the person in the room being able to perfectly see the person in the toilet. This may make some people feel extremely uncomfortable. I appreciate that some people do not care about it and find it cool, but this detail should have been explicitly communicated on booking.com, for everybody to be able to take a decision.

The property looked nice on Booking, but I was really disappointed. Photos are misleading, because they were taken years ago, when the location was brand new. Now, everything is old and rusted (probably because of the wind and the salty water). There's rust outside, but also inside the room and bathroom mostly. Breakfast was below average - almost everything was deep fried or oily, vegetables had no taste. And with all the rust around you inside the breakfast area, you didn't really feel like eating.. Beachfront is not actually beachfront, because it's just rocks. View was nice, but the windows were so dirty, that you couldn't actually see the view. Pools didn't look attractive at all, we didn't use them.

Breakfast was cold every morning, food was the same. The hotel advertises that it is for adults only but they are lying, a couple with a small child lived in the next room. We were looking for an adults only hotel for have to quiet and relax time. The light turns on automatically and there is no way to turn it off, it is very disturbing, and the toilet should be separate with a door, but not open.

We stayed at Hotel Boutique TAO Caleta Mar and unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations. The location is quite isolated—the hotel is the very last building in town. The center is about a 30-minute walk, and a taxi costs around 6 euros each way. Public transport is an option, but not ideal if you want flexibility. There are no restaurants nearby, and the deli only offers sandwiches made with leftover breakfast items. One of the biggest issues was hygiene—on two separate days, we found cockroaches in our room. The pool was not clean, lacked any atmosphere (no music or vibe). The room itself was also misleading: the photos didn’t show that the toilet has no privacy. When we asked at reception to change rooms, the staff dismissed the concern by saying, “if there's confidence between people, it doesn’t matter.” We explained we've been together for 10 years and still value basic privacy. She told us that all the rooms are designed that way, so there was no alternative. This lack of consideration was frustrating. She also said she would send extra towels along with something to hang and cover the glass for privacy, but she never followed through. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. Our room had an strong chlorine smell, we had to keep the door open for a while to air it out. The only rubbish bin was the one in the bathroom. Another disappointment was the misleading listing. The hotel advertises a pool bar, which simply does not exist. Small details like having to go to reception to get the Wi-Fi password added to the inconvenience. The number to call reception was also not to be found anywhere in the room.

Accommodation a little dated but clean. I would stay again but only with hire car due to getting back from town.
