Hotel Cap Roig & Spa by Brava Hoteles

Mixed feelings overall but this hotel needs more staff and better trained staff. We arrived to our room and there wss a smell of urine in the toilet. We told management and in fairness they fixed it. We have lunch by the pool bar twice, service slow and unfriendly, the food was good. Pool towels are at reception so you arrive at the pool and have to go back to reception.. they ask for your room number to keep track of towels. This is fair but when their under staffed reception has a queue 20 mins long I threw towels into the basket as it seems a long wait to return. I was told off for doing this. This hotel is meant to be 4 star but it has a 2 star attitude. I would like to tell management most people have little interest in your thin beach towels. On a positive note, amazing location with stunning views, fantastic swimming spot accessible from the hotel. Rooms are nice and comfortable beds. I have previously stayed at their sister hotel Eden Roc it is a million times better. Especially their staff. I feel anything I asked it was a no before yes.. poor poor attitude overall at Cap Roig. I would not return.

The location

Highly recommend this hotel. Was there on a solo/single trip. Instead of giving me an abandoned room like the usually do with singles travelling and only staying for one night, they gave a room with superb sea view. Also the staff at the restaurant were very kind and gave me a seaview seat. Very nice!

The hotel staff were all really friendly and gave support and information when required. You couldn't fault the staff at all. Basic additions such as a cold water tap in the lobby area, refreshments in the room (e.g. kettle, milk, cups etc) would have made the price feel more justified. The beach is directly below the hotel which is beautiful and great to be so convenient. Many other coves also very nearby. Generally, I found the hotel very expensive for what it was, compared to others in the area. The entrance was very grand and beautiful, but our room was less so, and the facilities within the hotel room were minimal and dated. The room was dark, and the view was of air conditioning units. We had to get the cleaner to come back in the room when we first arrived as there was a sticky substance all over the table in the room. The pool area was very packed, with sun loungers packed next to each other in long lines, making the whole of the pool terrace feel very overcrowded. The pool area/ restaurant would have been a nice space if it were just less crowded, with beautiful views of the sea and the cove below.
